WHO WE ARE

MeetLab was officially born on October 10, 2018, after months of uncertainty - due to the complicated period of reforms in the third sector - and missing documents from the Revenue Agency. Our perseverance has guided us, even in drafting the Statute: a document that talks about us, our ideas and our values.

Shortly after, the "Muoviti al DEGA" course began, a project supported by the Il Margine Cooperative under the patronage of the municipality of Settimo Torinese, the NET Union and the ASL TO4 and the DEGA Urban Lab, which personally involved the subjects suffering from disabilities. "Muoviti al DEGA" was an activity aimed at all adults who wish to experience Mindfulness Relaxing Gymnastics, in a perfect combination of physical activity and meditation.

2019 was a very intense year, between training courses for Summer Center Educators -in collaboration with FiTIME- and the launch of the RIMA project, which sees MeetLab as a partner.  MeetLab collaborates with the CNR IRCRES -lead partner- and the UISP Ciriè Settimo Chivasso Territorial Committee in RIMA - Research In Movement for the Elderly - a research project funded by the San Paolo Foundation, which aims to develop a cost-benefit analysis on based on the results obtained from the Adapted Physical Activity courses proposed by the UISP, in order to provide the ASL TO4 with strategic information useful for planning activities related to health promotion for elderly subjects.

In 2020, at the beginning of the year and before the advent of the pandemic, we participated -winning- in the Erasmus+ Sport 2020 Small Collaborative Partnerships call with the HOSPITALITY project inspired by "Muoviti al DEGA", which achieved excellent results in terms of psychophysical well-being of children with intellectual disabilities. Among various difficulties and extensions, HOSPITALITY ended at the end of 2022.
